Petroleum crude (crude oil) GOST R 51858-2002

3 Definitions

        In this standard apply the following terms with the appropriate definitions: 3.1 crude petroleum: the Liquid natural mineral mix of hydrocarbons of wide physical and chemical structure which contains the dissolved gas, water, mineral salts, mechanical impurity and serves as the basic raw material for manufacture of liquid energy carriers (gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, black oil), lubricant oils, bitumens and coke. 3.2 commodity petroleum (petroleum): the Petroleum prepared for delivery to the consumer according to requirements working normative and technical documentation, accepted when due hereunder.

 

 

        4 Classification and a symbol oils

        4.1 On physical and chemical properties, degrees of preparation, to the maintenance of hydrogen sulphide and easy меркаптанов subdivide petroleum into classes, types, groups, kinds. 4.2 Depending on a mass fraction of sulfur petroleum subdivide into classes 1-4 (table 1).
